During a decades-long career in the energy industry, I had the opportunity to lead teams in the areas of strategic communication, crisis management, culture transformation and policy engagement. As I learned a lot about the business, I found myself fascinated by the people doing the work, by human behavior, by the ways we interact with each other and how we sometimes get in our own way. I spent years coaching others and developed a passion for career and leadership development, creating healthy work cultures, and bringing out the best in people. I started Higher Brain Lab to focus on this work with the purpose of helping people connect with their authentic selves, get unstuck and thrive in all areas of life.

My work taught me early that the key to any successful outcome is the people. I learned to focus on what makes people tick, what lights them up, what they carry with them each day and where they truly shine. Higher Brain Lab is where those lessons meet leading behavioral science research to bring the most important aspects of human behavior to coaching and culture work. The work I do here is about human connection. And it's the work that matters to me most.

I believe in people. I believe every individual carries unique strengths that, when unlocked, show us the best versions of themselves. I also believe that truth and clarity are at the core of all real change. When people connect with what’s real and authentic, everything else becomes more possible. From better decisions to braver conversations to clearer direction. In organizations, this builds the trust that makes real performance possible. When we start with truth we find clarity. Then, everything else follows.

My mission is to help people live better and work better. For individuals, that means moving from performing and surviving to integrity and thriving. For organizations, that means building cultures where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely connected to the work. I believe the gap between where most people and organizations are operating and what they are truly capable of is not a talent gap. It is a clarity gap, a safety gap, and a courage gap. Those are gaps I want to help you close.
